peaceful piano music
at its heart; relaxing piano, with
an occasional touch of strings

In May 2008, autodidact Steven Vrancken shared his piano music for the first time in a unique solo concert, where you are invited to lay down, listen & relax; scientifically proven to help you dissolve stress & tension. It’s an entirely different listening concept in comparison to regular shows where you sit down or stand straight. Listeners experience it as a fantastic relaxing & meditative adventure, also because his music is never interrupted by applause; it’s one, long (natural) musical trip.

Because his very first audience was so enthusiastic, many concerts followed in Belgium, and in some other countries like Mexico… , all of them organized as an independent musician without the backing of a label or management. This resulted in his first piano solo album “Into Resonance” (2011) and “Resonancia II” (2013).
His audience and some press & media talk about his music by referring to renowned neo-classical composers like Ludovico Einaudi, Keith Jarret, Arvo Pärt, Wim Mertens, Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm… which is particular, because unlike them, Steven did not receive any formal music training. He never touched a piano before he was 24 years old (in Montréal while completing his university studies). He’s a true autodidact.
